Today`s number one in Rhythmic Gymnastics

 

A while ago rhythmic gymnastics dominance was mostly in Eastern Europe with a good school and traditions in that sport. In today`s competitions, the map of the winners is changing with countries that were not so strong before.

 


If we have a look at this year European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship 2018 in Guadalajara Spain, we can still see a quite diverse performance and winners.
Italy starts to show up on the stage of the winners in Guadalajara, Spain. This year they manage to take two silver medals and one bronze from the championship.
Further this year in the world championship in Sofia- Bulgaria, Italy again was among the winners and left the competition with six medals –one gold 2 silver and 3 bronze.

Other counties as Israel are emerging to be among the opponents to today`s leaders. Lynoy Ashram in the individual performance shows a great skills and professionalism and is on the ladder quite often. In Sofia World Championship,this year, she`s  got her silver medal with the hoop performance. Japan team  also went home with a silver medal from the World Championship in Sofia this year. The performance that got them the silver was with hoops, competing with Bulgaria and Italy they have got the silver and gave up the gold for the Bulgarians and the bronze went tom the Italian team.

Belarus as an ex soviet country of course with excellent traditions in this sport is among those countries to fight for the gold and to be seen on a championships. Their winning girls Katsiaryna Halkina and Anna Kamenshchikova are contenders for a medal among the strong teams in the gymnastics. On the world cup Halkina left with silver medal for her performance with clubs. The same year in Guadalajara her junior teammate got a silver medal with clubs.

Ukraine same as Belarus ex soviet country with traditions in the gymnastics is seen very often on the stage to perform. The World Championship they left with silver medal for performance with hoops from the team performance and form the junior individuals Khrystyna Pohranychna  got two silver medals for her performance with ball and ribbon, and one bronze for hoop .In the individual senior stage Vlada Nikolcheko is often seen among the leaders.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywwNSJpIMHk-Nikolchenko Performance

Bulgaria with excellent history in the Rhythmic Gymnastics in the past is still part of the world class of gymnasts, quite strong in the team performance but also the individuals and the juniors as well. Because of it, they are seen so often on the ladder with the other leaders in that sport. In Guadalajara they left the competition with one gold and bronze in the senior team performance, and in the junior Tatyana Volozhanina got bronze and silver. Same year as a host country of the World Championship the were determined to show the world what they can do, and were among the best in the world. Russia is still the major part of the world gymnastics ,even though a lot of countries are getting better and better in this sport, Russia is still not giving up the first place and the dominance. With a great school  and persistence that county continuously producing champions after champions. Russia takes part of every championship and gives a strong message that they are still a major part of the world gymnastic and will continue to be on the world stage.   1. Great gymnasts and with great achievements but missing an essential team that is among the first -Spanish team should have been added .

  2. List is long and the amount of gymnasts as well ,but true next time I will do my research better and try not to exclude teams or gymnasts.Thanks for the comment!
